Tatiana Maskaron (’12)

Tatiana Maskaron is a founder of Jagger, a mobile app that helps customers to find and book last minute, local activities and events uniquely tailored to their taste, interests, and location.

Tatiana studied Business and Entrepreneurship at UCLA, while working full-time. She used the leadership, operations, and product management skills she gained at UCLA to found Jagger, which she launched in April 2014. Since then, Jagger has been downloaded over 12,000 times and has been recognized as one of the most innovative startups of the year by Digital Entertainment World.

"I'm eager to give back to the community through the fund and to support our local LA tech ecosystem," said Hughes. "As our startup grows, we hope to take on even more Bruin grads and deepen our UCLA connections. I'm proud to be part of the extended UCLA family that is at the center of innovations in tech, entertainment and media that make LA such a special place."

Tatiana previously worked in product development consulting, advising both Fortune 500 and startup companies. In 2013, she worked as a strategic account director creating next generation mobile retail software with clients in retail tech and mobile payments.

With over 10 years of experience in product management, Tatiana took 12 tech products from concept to launch, including the Muve Music app for Cricket Wireless (over 5.3M subscribers by 2nd year and with over 400,000 subscribers in its first year launching in Brazil). In 2013, she helped MSG to launch NY Knicks and NY Rangers team apps and to create an intelligent customer engagement platform.

With a BS in Computer Science from Russia, Tatiana started her career as a software engineering consultant in New York where she advised companies including Equinox, Zog Sports, Learn360, and Rodale.

“UCLA inspired me to create ideas for new businesses and gave me the tools I needed to take an idea through launch and implementation," according to Hughes. "At Jagger, we strive to create a product that our users love and we use insights we've gained from UCLA to build a strong brand with emotional appeal. The product and marketing lessons we've learned at UCLA have paid off on in the recognition we've received." Today, Jagger continues to be a recognized standout among competitors and was recently named one of GMIC Silicon Valley's top ten most innovative mobile startups.
