Mike Vanneman (’78)

Mike is the founder of TVG Executive Search, an executive search firm specializing in recruiting superior sales leaders and high performance sales teams.

Mike Vanneman is the founder of TVG Executive Search. After a successful twenty plus year run as a technology sales executive, Mike founded an executive search firm, TVG Executive Search. The focus of his company is to identify and recruit world class sales leaders and to help technology companies build quota exceeding sales teams. He has also conducted successful searches in the non-profit sector.

Mike graduated from UCLA in 1978 and was the goalkeeper for the UCLA Men’s Soccer Team in the late 1970s. He was drafted in the second round of the NASL draft by the San Jose Earthquakes and played briefly with the Los Angeles Aztecs. He has remained active with UCLA Athletics through a course he created called Prep4Career. Since 2013 Mike has been the career coach with the UCLA Football team working in conjunction with the program’s Director of Player Development. His program has also been incorporated into the Wooden Leadership Academy. He has also served as a “Bruin In Residence” and guest lecturer for the Department of Sociology.

Mike is a Volunteer Fireman at Bucks Lake, CA in the Plumas National Forest. He holds certifications in Wilderness Medicine and is an Emergency Medicine First Responder. In 2015, Mike received the People Saving People Award from the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Foundation for saving two people with CPR in 9 months that had suffered sudden cardiac arrest. By virtue of his unprecedented experience, Mike is a much sought after speaker by the American Heart Association, service clubs and at conferences with a message, “Be Aware. Be Ready. Be Willing.”

Mike has four grown children and lives in Los Altos, CA.
